Find Out My Top 3 Favourite Foundations Here!

Chanel

Chanel describes their product as a “fluid foundation that awakens tired skin” with a formula that is “exceptionally fine, fresh and lightweight aqueous” providing “an incomparable second skin finish.”

In need of a light second-skin-looking foundation it matched my requirements, so I gave it a go. A couple of months on it’s time to share my opinion.

The product really does help achieve a fresh and healthy look, covering imperfections well.  It lasts all day and feels like I’m not even wearing foundation.

The high definition light pigments create a radiant and luminous complexion that I love whilst the hyaluronic acid derivative helps maintain my skin’s moisture levels.

I’m less concerned about the claimed SPF15 sun protection as I’m a SPF50 kind of girl!

At a price of £40 for 30 ml it’s not on the cheap side but you only need a small amount and it will last you a few months. All in all, a good buy!

Smashbox

This brand caught my attention from a Makeup Influencer that I watch on YouTube.

She raved about this foundation across several tutorials, prompting me to try it out and fortunately this proved to be a great purchase. And on this occasion, I opted for a tone a few shades darker than normal so that I can use it after I’ve had a spray tan.

This little beauty evens out the appearance of your skin tone well, meeting their promise that it “never settle into pores and lines”. As an oil-free liquid foundation it provides medium-to-full buildable coverage.

Studio Skin is infused with nourishing hyaluronic acid and won’t oxidize or cause breakouts, leaving you with a fresh, natural matte finish that I love.

I’ve had this foundation for a while and it’s still half full.  At a cost of £31 for 30 mls this is great value.

I really like Smashbox as a brand and recommend them.

Morphe

Having really liked their tinted moisturiser I didn’t hesitate in buying one of their foundations.  I bought the closest to my skin tone and opted for a medium-to-full coverage.

Their promise is that it’s “longwearing and designed to provide a natural finish that blurs imperfections while deeply hydrating and nourishing skin.”  “Crafted in Italy for the ultimate soft-focus, filter-effect look and powered by high-performing, skin-perfecting ingredients.”

Do I agree…yes!  And at a price of £18 for 28ml it’s great value.

It feels like I’m not wearing foundation and it certainly leaves me with a near-on-perfect complexion that lasts the whole day.  I like to mix a little dewy-effect highlighter before applying as I love a goddess glow!

Verdict

If you’re looking to replenish your makeup I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending any of the above foundations as they offer the ability for us all to have enviable complexions.
