Let’s Glow Everyday And Stay Sun Safe All Year!

Morphe Glowstunner Hydrating Tinted Moisturiser, Face Mist & ‘Star buy’ Supergoop Glow Stick

Even though Morphe have been around since the late noughties I’ve only recently discovered them.

My husband always tells me I’m a marketer’s dream.  Yep, I was instantly captivated by Morphe’s attention-grabbing advert for Glowstunner Hydrating Tinted Moisturiser.

This looked like the product I needed in my life especially for my holiday to Ibiza.

As I no longer sunbathe I tend to feel really pale in comparison to the bronzed god and goddesses that adorn the beaches.  I’m forever telling myself I’m the smart one here and the sunworshippers are not.  Even so, it’s really annoying watching them get better looking with every day that passes with their gorgeous sun-kissed glow.

This time, I had a plan to use a product that would give me a slight sun-kissed look without exposing my skin to the damaging effects of the sun.  I am the smart one!

In my 20s I used fake tan religiously and back then the thought of going au-natural would have sent shivers down my spine.  My mindset has changed and I embrace the natural look completely (although I do like to sport the occasional fake tan now and again).

Morphe’s Glowstunner Hydrating Tinted Moisturiser

Morphe’s tinted moisturiser looked like a sure-fire winner as the model’s skin looked on-point.  Ok, the model was probably 20 years my junior, but I still thought it could work equally well on me and I loved the clever marketing name Glowstunner. With one click I’d bought it and thought I’d give the ‘li’l pick me up 3-in-1’ face mist a try too.

Years ago I would only use Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturiser but this time I was keen to try something new. Morphe’s product is attractively priced at £18 for 30ml and I particularly liked the brand’s ethos.  They promise to offer professional grade products at affordable prices for us ‘ordinary’ folk.  This one comes in 15 sheer shades.  I’m used to sporting a paler look and opted for ‘light colour 3’.  Upon receiving the product I realised I could have gone a little darker.

This is marketed as a multi-tasker as it provides daily hydration and nourishment as it’s crafted with ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, lactic acid and other antioxidants.  It’s totally sheer and buildable with an added SPF 30.  They offer 15 tints that provide a full range of tones including light, medium, tan, rich and deep.

I used this twice daily and it became my BFF on holiday. It sank into my skin, making it feel silky smooth, providing a slight hint of colour and glow that I had been yearning for.  I still used my illuminating primer underneath, highlighter on my cheeks and a little bit down my nose as I am the ultimate glow queen.

This product is now a firm fixture in my make up bag.  I don’t like to wear foundation every day and when I feel like this or feel in need of a little bit of colour I apply Glowstunner.  A bonus, I reckon this tube is going to last forever!  Check this brand out if you’re looking for a tinted moisturiser.

FYI, I reckon this is a great product for a teenager to use as it’s not heavy, won’t clog up their pores and it might deter girls from using fake tan regularly.

Their lip liners are awesome and only cost around £6.  I’d bought into the high end £20ish lip liner but don’t think that will be necessary now I’ve found Morph’s Sweet Tea.  I’m keen to try their primers and lip gloss.  I will share as always if I come across something great.

Supergoop – Glow stick SPF50

This is a need-to-know product and thank you to Cult Beauty for grabbing my attention with their brilliant and enticing advert for Supergoop’s Glow Stick. I can confirm that this brand is right up my street.

I am passionate about skin health and therefore sun protection and Supergoop’s founder, Holly Thaggard, is no different. She created a sunscreen range after a close friend had been diagnosed with skin cancer.

All too aware of the damage that the sun can cause, Holly questioned why there’s a reluctance to wear sunscreen which gave her the idea to create a product that first and foremostly protects skin from the sun and equally as important a sunscreen that people would want to apply.

The Glow Stick provides an intensely high SPF 50 and comes in a no-fuss, no-mess stick that perfectly fits into handbags and pockets.  You do not need to worry about a chalky cast or oily sheen as some sunscreens have.  This provides a beautiful, dewy finish.

I used it multiple times a day on holiday and I wanted to apply it often as I could because of the resulting fabulous glow.  I am very loyal to Heliocare sunscreen, and I’ve always recommended it to friends but that was before discovering Supergoop.  This sunscreen is now part of my routine and I love it!

You may feel that the sunscreen element in your foundation is enough protection, but I reckon medical professionals will tell you otherwise.  If you’re serious about looking after your skin, give Glow Stick a shot.

This product would also be a smart introduction to a teenage daughter or son. The earlier great habits are adopted the less people may be diagnosed with skin cancer.

As soon as I’ve finished my Glow Stick I shall be sampling their Glow Screen – stand by!

Morphe’s – Li’l 3-in-1 Face Mist

This product is marketed as a 3-in-1 face mist priced at £12.00 for 100ml.  It’s formulated with orange water flower, cucumber water and aloe vera to help calm skin and lock in moisture.  It can be used as a spray to tone, set makeup or freshen complexion.

As a real summer chick I love the summer vibe scent however the mist itself didn’t wow me.  I found it made my skin feel quite tacky and I had to reapply setting powder to get rid of the unwanted residue.  This is not ideal especially if you’re out and about.  I don’t like waste, so  intend to finish the bottle but I will only use at home.

I’m afraid I wouldn’t recommend this spray but I’m still keen to try other Morphe products as I loved the other two used.
