3 Things To Know About Anti-Aging Part 1

I’ve had a great summer holiday, hanging out with friends, many late nights and lots of much-needed laughter; however, my skin is now crying out for some extra TLC.

I no longer have skin that’s as plump and smooth as it was in my 20s which requires me to work harder to keep that fresh look that we all love.

By implementing certain skin routines, you can keep your skin looking younger than your actual age but you will need to be willing to invest in yourself.

Many skin devices on the market work, and some don’t! I’ve bought items in the past and ended up feeling like I’d thrown good money down the drain…

If you’re feeling like me or have noticed that your skin isn’t looking as good as you want it to, then keep reading, and hopefully some of my tips might help you.

Good skin. Good Mood. Good Day.

Clarisonic Mia Prima

Let’s start with the basics, cleansing. It is essential to cleanse your skin twice a day, once in the morning and the evening, to wash your makeup off and prep your skin for your routine.

I received my Clarisonic Mia as a present years ago and thought it was the best gift ever, helping to ensure my skin feels squeaky clean. It’s super simple, you apply your preferred cleanser of choice, switch it on, and this magic brush will remove dirt, oil, and impurities within 1 minute. They say that it’s 6x more effective than manual cleansing and I 100% agree.

My social life has been pretty hectic lately, with many later finishes causing me to be a little bit lazy in using it. Sadly I can notice the difference in dullness and pores appearing bigger. A reminder to myself that routine is so important, even when tired.

I recommend this product to anyone who wants to look after their skin, especially as we get older, lose collagen, and cells start to slow down.

In my opinion, this cleanser brush is well worth the money and a great start to achieving glowing, healthy skin. If you’re over 35 then this is a must-have!

Clay Masks

I appreciate that sometimes it’s hard to find time to fit “me” time, especially when we all lead busy lives, but I believe if you truly want to look after your skin as we age, you’ll find that 10 minutes for yourself.

Over the past few months, my skincare routine has been slightly neglected, and I haven’t used masks regularly. So, I’ve restocked one of my fave masks from L’Oreal, Pure Glow Clay Mask, and am ready to step up my routine.

Generally, I like to use this twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays to get the full benefits of the mask. Leave for 5 – 10 mins after cleansing, remove with a wet towel or warm water, and you’ll have gorgeous clear skin ready for your next step.

I feel you don’t need to spend a fortune on certain products, and this mask costs around £7.99. This product contains three pure clays with brightening Red Algae Extract, and the exfoliating beads will slough away dead skin resulting in a brighter complexion. It does precisely what it says on the pot. No more, no less.

Yes, you can spend £30 – £50 on a clay mask from the luxury brands, but I don’t feel it’s necessary.

Even if you only fit one mask a week in, it’s better than none!

I would also recommend the clay mask from Revolution.

Dermaluxe Flex MD

Friends will know I am a BIG fan of LED and I have previously written about them and will continue to do so as I have seen how great they have been for my skin.

So, I got excited when I spotted that the Dermalux Flex MD is available for retail purchase at Current Body. Ok, it is super expensive, and it is now on my wishlist. The reason why is that it will work wonders on your skin.

This is a professional-level LED therapy mask that is portable and can be easily used at home. I have seen how this treatment can help with acne, redness, pigmentation, signs of aging, large pores, and uneven tone.

The beauty of this is you can also use it on other parts of your body, such as sports injuries and joint pain. It’s a safe, effective treatment that can be used by all skin tones and types.

The typical cost for a single LED treatment at a professional clinic would be around £50. Ideally, weekly treatment is recommended to see the benefits. A weekly treatment for a year could cost £2,600.

This magic age-buster costs £1,895. If I had the money spare, I would buy without hesitation.
